Almost every day I walk by one of the lakes near my home. The light dances across the water as if it’s alive, with small flashes of turquoise and silver, reflections of the sky, and the deep shade under the trees shifting with the time of day. The houses along the water are surrounded by flowers and fruit trees.

What draws me most are the shadows, the way purple and teal tones fall across white stucco walls and wooden patio beams. Lakehouse began as a study of those shifting colors and became a reflection on how light shapes what we see.
